​Recorded in March 2024, "Color" is a studio recording project featuring three compositions refined between 2022 and 2024. In each track, Ryan leverages the architecture of the tune to spotlight the particular color palette of a featured soloist.

Color is dedicated to Ryan’s trumpet teachers John Schlabach, Brian Lynch, and Dr. Robert Sears who all encouraged him to persist studying the trumpet even when he would get discouraged. Ryan says, “I grow every day that I embrace challenges with grace and curiosity.”
